What size do I need?
Premier Skip Hire can offer you a wide range of skip sizes from 2 cubic yard through to 12 cubic yard skips guaranteed to cover all your needs. We have also provided a Skip Sizes guide so you can work out the best size skips to suit your needs. All skips must be level loaded so they can be safely transported. Skips that are 10 cubic yards and over must not contain heavy materials unless previously agreed. If you need advice please give us a call on 0208 873 1433 or 0777 600 7081 and we will be more than happy to help.
How long does it take to get a skip?
We can at times offer same day service, depending on your location and which size skip you require. However if a permit is required to place the Skip on a highway we would need advance warning as this process can take time to arrange. The amount of time required to arrange a permit can vary depending on the local council, if needed we can also provide a wait and load service eliminating the need for a skip permit. Please call for more info on this service.
When and how do I pay?
All skip ordered via phone should be paid for on delivery. We can take your payment details over the phone if you are not going to be available.
If ordering via our Order Form, you will be directed to PayPal to complete your order. This will ensure your safety on line while placing your order and all you need is any credit or debit card – You don’t even need a PayPal account, just select pay with card on the PayPal Site.
Where can the skips be placed?
We will place your skip in the most convenient and practical location which might be your driveway or the road. If we need to place the skip on the road you will need a valid skip licence provided by your local council. Please contact us if you can not place your skip on private land (remember the grass verge outside your house may not be owned by you!) and we can if needed organise a permit for you. Alternatively, we may be able to organise a wait and load facility.
What can and can’t be put in the skip?
Due to regulation by the Environment Agency some waste can not be disposed in conventional ways. Fridges, TV’s, Monitors, Gas Bottles, Tyres and Hazardous Waste is NOT permitted to be placed in our regular skips unless there has been prior arrangement. For a full list of items that can not be put in our skips please contact us. We can provide a service to remove these items for you, but please note that any items which are not allowed may be charged and even returned to the customer.
Will my drive be damaged by the skip?
Block paved and soft tarmac drives can sometimes be damaged when collecting heavy skips which require stabilising equipment. While we will take every care to ensure we prevent damage, you can also help prevent this by informing us on delivery what the skip will be filled with, along with ensuring the skip is not overloaded. Please be aware that once we leave the location, you agree to indemnify us for any damage that occurred whilst on your property.
